My Husband knew Imbil and Kenilworth quite well, but for me, it had been years since I'd travelled on the back roads of the Mary Valley.

So, one Friday when we both had the day off work (which never happens), he took me for a drive to rediscover what the area had to offer.

We were actually looking for an investment property that we could call home closer to retirement.

Heading to Imbil along the Mary Valley Road (H'way) I noticed the Ron Jeffery for sale sign out the front and remarked to my Hubby..."That's the One".

Ron showed us 4/5 properties in the Imbil area, but I still couldn't get over the property we drove past earlier that morning.

We ran out of time to view this property with Ron, so Ron was fine with us having a walk around the property on our way home.

Standing on the verandah looking out to the Bluff and surroundings was all it took...We just had that feeling of 'coming home' and freedom.

Such a beautiful feeling, a healing place, a place of love and tranquillity (It's amazing how many people comment the same feeling when they visit)...

Oh, plus the large workshop and mango trees certainly made my Hubby's eyes light up.

We came back out on the Saturday for a full viewing, back out on the Sunday to sign a contract and as they say...the rest is history.

Once we started on the clean-up, we decided to move instead of renting it out.

The house and land needed some loving to bring it back to life and make it shine again.

With the help of some wonderful people we were able to accomplish this.

We would especially like to acknowledge our new FRIENDS...Ian Patterson of Patterson's Painting (Imbil), John 'the Slasher' Rodwell (over the hill and down the range)

and Martin Hill of North Coast Glass & Aluminium (Nambour).

Many a cuppa or something stronger has been shared with these fine gentlemen on our verandah...they helped make our home the gathering place it is today for family and friends.

We have graciously been welcomed into the arms of the local communities, particularly our wonderful neighbours.

It truly is lovely to come back to a Country Community at this time is our lives.

Many thanks to Ron and his team.
