It was on a whim that Darren, Carlene and their three children stopped to look at a quaint farmhouse during a camping trip to the Mary Valley in March last year. After calling into the open home and promptly falling in love with the 100 year old house on 10 acres, Darren and Carlene decided to make the Mary Valley home. The team at Ron Jeffery Realty were imperative in helping them to quickly and easily make there dream come true. The family packed up their Gold Coast suburban home and settled down in the small community of Brooloo.  It was a tree change that was desperately needed after the hustle and bustle of city life and constant rushing around for work and children's activities. Since moving last year, the family have worked hard to establish permaculture gardens around their property and have acquired a flock of chickens that the children love caring for. They love exploring the area and are enjoying the more relaxed pace of country life.   Darren and Carlene look forward to continuing to grow most of their food on their property and to expand their menagerie of animals. They are also excited about adding some finishing touches to their little farmhouse in the Mary Valley. Follow their adventures on-:  living_at_storybook_farm on Instagram.
